- The name of the project is design of performance management system software for mobile media gateway
- The objective of this project is to find a method that manipulate the raw files extracted from the MGW by using file transfer protocol (FTP) with using the operation support system (OSS) of the communication network
- The reason of designing this software is that sometimes a failure may have happened in the mobile management system (OSS) and this failure is either in hardware for example a server which may lead to whole OSS to become down and here no raw files will be received from the node (MGW)
- Another case is that a failure may occur in one of the software application of the management (OSS) and this may result in wrong reading or unreal values of the raw data received from the node (MGW) so this new designed software represents it in a readable view
- We use the Perl script language to construct a code that convert the XML file or the row file to the excel format
- The output of this excel file contain the value of the counters that used to calculate the value of the KPIs by a specific formula for each KPI
- Finally, the results were obtained after implementing the software system using specific formula for each KPI.
