Disaster Recovery plan and Implemented.
Implemented a comprehensive Disaster Recovery (DR) plan with a DR site located at the Kalutara branch. Set up a dual firewall configuration to enhance security and ensure continuity. Established server replication and backup solutions from the primary datacenter in Kelaniya to the Kalutara branch, enabling quick recovery in the event of a disruption. Incorporated ISP redundancy using Dialog and SLT to provide uninterrupted connectivity.
Zimbra Email Server to Exchange Migration
Migrated on-premises Zimbra email server to Microsoft Exchange Online (Office 365). The project involved planning and executing data migration, including mailboxes, contacts, and calendars, ensuring seamless transfer with minimal downtime. Configured and synchronised user identities via Azure Active Directory and optimised DNS settings for email flow. Implemented robust post-migration testing and user training for a smooth transition to the new platform.
Bamboo to GitLab Migratio
Executed a full migration from Bamboo to GitLab, transferring all repositories and CI/CD pipelines to GitLab’s integrated CI/CD environment. The project involved automating migration scripts, reconfiguring pipeline stages, and optimising workflows to align with GitLab’s CI/CD syntax. Integrated GitLab Runners and implemented secure tokens, access controls, and audit logs to enhance security across repositories and pipelines. Ensured data integrity and continuity with comprehensive testing and validation throughout the migration process, providing a streamlined, secure CI/CD solution on GitLab.
