  • During my time at Costa I learned the key skills of running a coffee shop smoothly. This being that customers where greeted with a smile and that they're every need was met during they're time visiting the store.
  • Hygiene was also a big responsibility working at costa as I was in charge of making customers hot and cold drinks and also handling the peroration of hot food. To do so I would regularly wash my hands, make sure all equipment I'm using was clean and always clean up after completing the task.
  • customer service was another skill I used to my advantage as we as a store always had targets to meet. These targets would be such things as up selling a promotional drink or cake to the customer. I would do this by recommending the product to the customer and giving a personal insight of what I think of the product.
  • Dealing with customers allergies was another key fact of my job and was aways taken very seriously. A few examples if this would be when a customer with a nut allergy would like to know what cakes where available that doesn't contain any nuts. In this instance I would read them through the allergen book and walk them through whether or not it was safe for the customer to consume and if not id help them find the perfect alternative.
