 Senior level claims specialist with expertise notably in Marine Cargo and Liability and will be responsible for investigating and maintaining all claims relative to the given sphere of operations.

 Under technical direction, work within authority on assignments of significant technical complexity.

 Review Policy coverage, determine liability, adjust and settle claims in accordance with established, written Claims Handling Guidelines

 Review all documentation in order to finalize claims and settling the survey fees to the surveyor

 Set reserves and authorize payments - within the scope of the given claims settling authority - in the most cost-effective manner and ensure payments are made in accordance with the company's formal, written Claims Handling Guidelines.

 Conduct investigations and evaluate claims through contact with brokers, insured’s, claimants, Third Parties, witnesses and experts, including solicitors, loss adjusters, and other professional in addition to general business partners.

 Work with brokers, agents, co-insurers and solicitors for the disposal of active claims.

 Work with underwriters, brokers, Reinsures Third Party Claims Administrators and agents for risk management and loss control and prevention purposes.

 Utilize negotiation skills to develop complex settlement packages

 Identify, preserve and pursue subrogation potential within corporate claims handling guidelines

 Analyze claim activity, trends and unusual whole account features. Prepare reports for management review

 Update claim systems and confirm data accuracy and Assist in management and control of Third Party Claims Administrators including oversight of claim referrals, bordereaux and claim funds.

Motor recovery and Total Loss (Motor Claims):

• Coordinate with the insurance companies to ensure the recovery of outstanding.
• Follow up with the Insurance companies for the recovery of outstanding claims through phone, email and fax.
• Settlement of other insurance company’s claims and exchanging of credit notes.
• Discussing with the Manager (Mr. Michael Hitti) concerning to the outstanding claims which are difficult to get from the insurance companies and other related issues.
• Handling the Total Loss claims (Motor) own damage, total loss recovery and third party total loss.
• Registering the claims, sending the total loss confirmation to the client (total loss offer letter).
• Follow up with the clients for the transfer of the vehicle (Hayaza) to Nasco Karaoglan Name or to the scrap buyer’s name.
• For the total loss recovery, sending total loss intimation and salvage confirmation to the other insurance company
• Disposal of salvage with the help of Claims Director.
