• Ensures that Flight Dispatchers are fully accountable for the dispatch reliability on flights and aircrafts when preparing flight plans.

• Supervises and liaise with Air Traffic Control [ATC] over generating and filing of flight plans.

• Ensures that proper coordination is maintained with internal and external agencies regarding flight operations, responding to and making inquiries on matters affecting Air Arabia flight operations, providing assistance as required.

• Coordinates with all concerned and executes the plan over the initiation, continuation, diversion or termination of flights, taking into account the safety, punctuality and cost effectiveness of Company operations.

• Prioritizes and designates on shift basis the work load in order to ensure conducive work environment for an error free and safe dispatching of flights and operational control.

• Continuously monitors the progress of all Company systems using all available means, e.g. telephone, fax, Cesar, VHF radio, Stockholm Radio, LIDO FP, ACARS, etc. to ensure all systems provide the services as required without any interruptions.

• Analyses post-flight documents and Captains reports and obtains debriefings from flight crew to enhance dispatch reliability in order to provide a safe and error free flight planning service.

• Supervises the performance of flight Dispatchers and in consultation with dispatch Manager to identify areas for improvement and deficiencies in order to provide training and development to enhance the productivity of staff.

• Obtains over flight, landing, and other permissions for schedule and non-schedule flights in a timely manner with proper records are maintained.

• In the event of an aircraft emergency, ensures Dispatch procedures are adhered as outlined in the Emergency Response Plan.

• Plan & executes the aircraft rotation in consultation and considering engineering, commercial & ground operations requirements.

• In consultation and coordination with dispatch Manager and other operational areas arrive at cost effective, operationally viable commercially favorable disruption plan during flight disruptions.

• Ensure a list of contact details and airport reference details are available for all station and validate periodically.

• Disseminate information regarding new operational developments relevant to the daily operation.

• Provide Flight watch for all flights by coordinating with relevant Ground Handling agencies and disseminate delay information as required.

• Constantly monitor ACARS timings and updates in Cesar in order to ensure accurate timings are always available for ABY operation.

• Plan and publish the daily aircraft rotation and changes whenever applicable.

• Publish and disseminate the delay/disruption, Accident and Incident information as appropriate.

• Monitor and Update Journey log entries whenever there are discrepancies or gaps noted in order to update the Flight Dispatch system.

• Liaise with external entities relevant to operations control.

• Disseminating information regarding new developments in daily operations.

• Maintaining and validating airport reference information and liaise with airport services.

• Review the services provided by external service providers and report to Dispatch Manager when conditions of service level agreements are not met.

  • Lead and direct all Flight Dispatch personnel
  • Coordinates the work of Flight Dispatch personnel as directed by the OCC and Dispatch Manager
  • Ensure that Flight Dispatch performs safe and efficient Operational Control in accordance with all the Moroccan and foreign government rules and regulations, Company flight operating manuals and corporate policies and procedures
  • If inadequacy of any facilities are observed in the reports from flight crews, ATS or other credible sources, the relevant authority is informed
  • Ensure that flights are safely and efficiently planned, cleared and monitored in accordance with established standards and regulations
  • Liaise with external entities relevant to operations control
  • Responsible to review and determine the training requirements and syllabus for the flight dispatchers are in accordance with the current DAC regulations
  • Determine Flight Dispatcher training courses according to the regulations
  • Evaluate that Flight Dispatch personnel are current and qualified in the applicable competencies of Operations control in accordance with DAC CARs, Flight Dispatch training records or personal folder is updated and maintained by Operations Controller
  • Establish, in conjunction with the OCC and Dispatch Manager, standards and procedures for the safe exercising of Operational Control
  • Disseminate information regarding new developments in daily operations
  • Investigate Flight Crew Reports or other related reports involving Flight Dispatch operational control decisions and responding accordingly
  • Monitor and measure Flight Dispatcher performance relative to their knowledge, understanding and application of standards and procedures and reporting deficiencies in same to the OCC and Dispatch Manager
  • Determine Flight Dispatcher training requirements and the development of training courses and criteria
  • Maintain and validate airport reference information and liaise with airport services
  • Review the services provided by external service providers and report to OCC and Dispatch Manager when conditions of Service Level Agreements are not met
  • Check and update the Journey log and remarks, take action on operational issues
  • Monitor the aircraft status report on daily basis and advice the flight dispatcher about any operational or engineering requirements
  • In the unfortunate case of an emergency, ensures that all Emergency Response procedures are been adequately followed and the Management is notified as per Appendix 2 Page 2 of ERP Manual
  • The on duty operations controller will prepare accurate manifest with details of crew members, passengers, cargo and dangerous goods immediately
  • Should be a Check Dispatcher/Dispatch Instructor, who is authorized to conduct recurrent training for flight dispatchers and induction training for the new joiners in Flight Dispatch
  • Ensure proper communication and coordination is done with the external suppliers which directly effects operational safety of a flight
  • Deputize for OCC and Dispatch Manager in his absence
  • Carry out Safety responsibilities as per Air Arabia Maroc SMS Manual.

FLIGHT DISPATCHER

  • Developing, reviewing, authorizing, issuing and revising all operational flight plans, for scheduled, non-scheduled, training and test Flight Operations, in keeping with safety, regulatory compliance, customer service and corporate requirements; Analyzing operational conditions, identifying limitations on operational capabilities, such as, weather, facilities, Air Traffic Control, Air Traffic Flow, aircraft performance and maintenance MEL/CDL requirements; Analyzing operational and meteorological conditions to determine the most efficient and safe minimum fuel requirement
  • Analyzing well in advance the CFMU network operational protected portal application, identifying and eliminating the constraints that may affect our operation including, but not limited to, Slots whenever possible
  • Providing the Flight Crew with a thorough flight crew briefing, covering all significant information, this may affect the flight
  • Filling and Transmitting to Air Traffic Control directly or through an Air Arabia Maroc approved handling agent in the country of operation, all ICAO Flight Plan requirements
  • Ensuring changes in ATC FPL that occur prior to departure shall be coordinated with the appropriate ATS unit before being transmitted to the PIC; Ensure having access to the same information pertaining to DGR carried as cargo on board the aircraft that is provided to the PIC
  • Providing detailed information without delay about dangerous goods carried as cargo to emergency services responding to an accident or serious incident involving aircrafts; Updating and maintain the Punctuality system; Keeping a track and maintaining Aircraft mobiles log updated; Monitoring the SITA/ACARS movement's message and flight operations messages; Handling the VHF radio and keep log of aircrafts communication; Checking and completing the post flight folders; Coordinating with different departments for the operations of flight
  • Coordinating with out-stations regarding operations of flight or irregular operations; During irregular operations, coordinate with the PIC and in consultation with the Operations Control Center Manager, implementing flight delays when conditions warrant, recommending flight cancellations and initiating alternative plans; Obtaining curfew breaks from local airport authorities during irregular operations; Providing a fuel summary, or if able, flight plans and flight watch for both test and training flights; Rescheduling functions during irregularities to ensure that qualified and connectivity, email clients, IPTV, VOIP and more
  • Follow standard processes and procedures; Redirect problems to appropriate resource; Follow up and make scheduled call back to customers where necessary; Stay current with system information, changes and updates; Follow up the day-to-day crew roster, ensuring that all air arabia flights are correctly crewed in accordance with the both, aviation and company laws, regulation and procedures; Legal crews are available for each flight
  • Coordinate with crew scheduling and tracking specialists to keep crews within duty time and flight time limitations, as well as to obtain additional crews during irregularities; Liaise with all crew; Communicate all changes to stations for hotel and transport amendments.
