  • Granting urgent landing permissions to the scheduled aircraft outside the office hours.
  • Granting Landing Permissions to non-scheduled aircrafts.
  • Granting passenger traffic rights to the airlines by coordinating with the concerned.
  • Follow-up scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft movements and collecting the necessary charge in case of the latter.
  • Feed all approvals into the system (non-schedule) & follow up non-schedule aircrafts movement (ARR/DEP).
  • Preparing non-schedule aircraft charge payee agreement form unless previous arrangements have been made before the departure of the aircraft.
  • Coordinating with the account section and replying to any queries raised by them.
  • Co-coordinating with ministry of foreign affairs (aviation affairs), armed forces (military operations) Amiri flights (operations) regarding granting diplomatic permissions to the aircraft.
  • Co-ordination with concerned authorities in case of full emergency, local stand by, and other accidents/incidents as per rules and regulations.
  • Co-ordination with airport security authorities and providing them with the necessary information when required as per rules and regulations.
  • Check List for Flight Approval
  • Receive landing request from operator via e-mail or FAX.
  • Check request against the list of mandatory information and certificates.
  • Request missing information from operator.
  • Check flight request against blacklist or Ban list & Required documents.
  • Reject the request via e-mail if the owner, operator, A/C type, registration and/or destination are blacklisted or banned.
  • Required Documents to be provided by the operator:
  • 1. Aircraft Registration Certificate.
  • 2. Insurance Certificate.
  • 3. Noise Certificate.
  • 4. Airworthiness Certificate.
  • 5. Aircraft Operator Certificate.
  • Check runway capacity based on the runway capacity chart for slots during non-peak times or with ATC for slots during peak times.
  • If no runway capacity is available offer an alternative slot to the operator via e-mail.
  • Check the purpose/nature of the flight and Parking Apron requested.
  • If the flight is military, VIP or carrying dangerous goods inform the operator to contact MOFA for diplomatic approval.
  • If the flight is a maintenance flight forward the request to ADAT or Abu Dhabi Aviation based on the request.
  • If the flight is for presidential Apron, forward the request to Amiri.
  • If the flight is a private flight up to code C, forward the request to Royal Jet if parking position is not available or requested by the operator.
  • If the request is for main Apron, forward the request to ACL if the flight is scheduled to operate beyond 72 hours and to the AOCC if the flight is scheduled to operate within the next 72 hours.
  • Request to be sent to EASG for both PAX and cargo flights.
  • DM to be copied for charter PAX flights.
  • If flight approved by all relevant parties as further specified above create and approve the flight in the SITA AMS.
  • Create permit letter in SITA AMS and send permit number to the operator via e-mail and issue charge note for ADHOC cash customers.
  • Ensure all flight movement data is updated on the day of operation.

Baggage Handling Systems controller (BHS)

  • Ensure Baggage Handling Systems are operated and maintained in accordance with contract.
  • Conduct Regular Inspection of equipment usage and ensure no misusage in place that could lead to system failures.
