  • Fujairah District having two major hospitals ,Fujairah hospital is almost 250-300 bedded ,tertiary hospital for the east coast of UAE. Dibba hospital is the second largest hospital in Fujairah. It is almost 200 bedded and serve Dibba and neighbouring villages. Also Fujairah District has 12 primary health centres distributed all over Fujairah emirate and usually refer pts. To Fujairah hospital.
  • I was running the District from main office in Fujairah. The whole District employee ranging between 1000-1200, that’s include doctors, nurses, technician as well as administrators. I was involved in smooth running of the district as well as planning for future strategy in all aspect.
  • When I left there was 3rd hospital still to finish (Masafi Hospital) as well as 3 extra primary health centres.

  • Zayed Military Hospital is the main and only tertiary hospital for the arm forces of UAE. It is 250-340 bedded hospital. Almost all surgical and medical sub-specialities available including cardiac and neurosurgery. Nephrology unit provide regular nephrology OPD, acute Haemodialysis in ICU and CCU as well as Chronic HD for outpatient. We are also having once per week kidney transplant clinic.

  • The hospital very active in research as well as regular CME. It is one of the main teaching hospital for McMaster University.

  • The renal unit serves a population of approx. 800,000. The unite, which is a tertiary referral centre, is active in looking after acute and chronic renal patients. As well, it is a referral centre for renal transplantation, both cadaver and living-related. The unit has a main centre for hemodialysis working in collaboration with 4 satellite units while, pritoneal dialysis is mainly CAPD. The unit is also involved in teaching program for both under graduate and post-graduate. There is Diploma/Master course in Nephrology held every academic year.
