Cost estimation of skids and storage tanks:

• Reviewing incoming enquiries related to skids and storage tanks with respect to MTO, technical documents/specifications, drawing etc.
• Requesting clients for clarifications, if any, on enquiries based on review.
• Reviewing all technical documents including those related to the quality, painting, fire proofing, insulation, production activities etc. and co-ordinating with internal process owners for better clarity of requirements.
• Preparing BOQ for raw material and co-ordinating with procurement department for latest material pricing in order to prepare the most competitive offer.
• Preparation of bill of quantities in detail for both process skids and storage tanks (as per the enquiry)
• Preparing BOQ for sub contract activities and sending enquiries to the respective sub contracting firms, follow up and to receive the offer from subcontractors for casting.
• Replacing clients or meeting with clients in order to clarify any technical/commercial queries based on the offer submitted.
• Reviewing purchase orders received against the offer and highlight any discrepancies.
• Provide assistance to the team lead in preparation of job instruction for awarded project and forward the same to admin team for entry in SAP or company software.
• Co-ordinate with client to support projects team in case of any issue during production stage.

• Cost Estimation: Preparation of cost estimates during project bidding for various activities including Passive Fire Protection (Intumescent and Cementitious), Painting, Scaffolding, Insulation, etc
• Maintaining cost estimate details for each project and updating cost information periodically
• Providing cost estimate analysis to management wherever required
• Contracts negotiations and analysis of variation proposals
• Planning: Preparation of micro plan for passive fire proofing, painting, scaffolding activities including the resource calculation including manpower, material, equipment, etc
• Planning for above scope of works including shutdown especially tank and equipment painting
• Quantity survey for painting and insulation job based on drawings and accordingly preparation of plans
• Negotiating and finalizing project plans
• Supply Chain Support: Tracking the material delivery status against the Purchase Orders (PO) for material supply
• Coordination with the site team and procurement team for completion of material delivery within the allotted time frame
• Revenue: Coordination with site project team for tracking the actual monthly production against the forecast
• Streamlining the invoicing procedure based on the client requirement for various projects
• Invoice preparation and submission for various projects
• Discussion with client for sorting out any discrepancies in invoice submission
• Follow up on the invoices for approval and due payments
• Forecast and Budget: Preparation of monthly forecast for revenue, credits and invoices
• Budget report (Actual Revenue vs Actual cost) preparation and analysis on monthly basis
• Conducting monthly Management Review Meeting for reviewing monthly project status
• Supporting Finance processes in VAT filing

• Planning & preparing cost estimates of projects in budgetary, tendering and /or job in hand stages
• Formulating & submitting finalized project specification document to engineering and projects team for the effective execution of awarded project
• Preparing competitive internal price list by doing a comparative study of estimates based on previous project specifications/ estimates
• R&D for cost saving - Collecting information about new suppliers, conducting in-house & external surveys & recommending competitive vendors to the company to get better cost advantage
• Coaching, mentoring, supervising and developing junior staff in the cost estimating function as per company policy
• Coordinating with design and planning engineers to resolve design/system conflicts
• Discussion with the design/drafting engineer for optimizing manufacturing process during tender preparation achieve cost efficiency

• Implementation & ensuring sustenance of ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO/TS 16949:2009 standards across various manufacturing plants
• Working on internal audits as per requirements mentioned in the above standards
• Serving as Point of contact within the Department and coordinating with other concerned departments for the successful completion of third-party and customer audits to implement the ISO standards
• Performing root-cause analysis and implementation of solution for closure of non-conformities
• A key team member in the successful implementation of NABL Accreditation for Material Testing Laboratory
