Pre- Bid Responsibilities:-

• Look out the general tenders from various departments and prepare competitive bids.
• Pre-bid study of Tender drawings, project specifications, bill of quantity,addendums and other project requirements.
• Inquiring to the consultant for all clarifications , if required, upon the study of tender documents.
• Evaluation of materials, equipment, man power, overheads,profits, ADDC fees etc. necessary for the execution of the project.
• Offering a basic competitive quotation for " Electrical Works" to the Main contractor / Client by studying thoroughly the tender drawings, project specifications, bill of quantity & addendums and selecting the suitable products meeting the above criteria whilst reducing the cost to minimum.
• Filing & conservation of the documents of the priced tenders neatly for future reference at a place of easy access.
• Follow-up with Main Contractor / Client concerning the status of the tender, awarded or not.
• Analyzing & revising the bid price with up- to-date material cost,if required,upon request from the awarded Main Contractor/Client.

Post-bid Responsibilities :-

• Checking the draft copy of " Electrical Works Sub-contractor Agreement" carefully and making sure about jobs under scope & exclusions, jobs related to other trades, payment terms & conditions etc, prior to the signature.
• Conducting Market Research and giving proposals for Economic design of the project considering the tender drawings, project specifications, Bill of Quantity, etc.
• Preparing the Program of Works in co-ordination with civil works & other services.
• Quantity take-off for various materials/equipment from the drawings/specifications.
• Arranging for and examining the Suppliers/ Manufacturers quotations for their technical compliance.
• Follow-up with the Suppliers / Manufacturers, prepare Price Comparisons, discuss & negotiate with the supplier/manufacturer for profitable discounts, and finalize the deal technically as well as commercially.
• Issue Letter of Intent to the finalized supplier(s) based on the agreed terms & conditions and request Technical Submittals, Catalogues, Samples (if required) for those products.
• Study thoroughly the received submittals, prior to their submission to the Consultants/Client and follow-up with them for Product Approval.
• Conducting technical discussions with the Consultant and Client for material approval (accompanied with the Supplier, if required) and for drawing approvals.
• Coordination with the Supplier / Manufacturer in order to ensure the prompt and timely delivery of the materials/equipments.
• Cross-checking the quantity as well as the quality of the materials delivered at the site, producing a report about the material delivery and informing the supplier about the short-supplied/less-quality material, if found any.
• Checking the workshop drawings (such as Electrical, Telephone, Fire Alarm, etc.) for submitting to the consultants/client and then to the concerning govt. authorities for their approval & site issues.
• Discussing with inspectors & solving technical problems of drawings and practical problems of site.
• Inspection of site for electrical work/installations and ensures that carried out work are in compliance with contract drawings and documents as well as according to Authorities (ADDC, Etisalat & Civil Defense) specifications & Consultant / Client requirements and attend the inspection of work with Consultant.
• Attend program meetings with Contractor / Management and follow up the sub contractors to achieve target on time.
• Reporting work progress to the main Contractor / Client and requesting payment from time to time for the works completed, as per the agreed % Breakdown of Electrical Works.
• Co-ordination with all MEP services and resolving the problems at site for Projects execution. Identifying the additional items/works and sending variation claims for the additional works as requested by the Main Contractor / Consultant / Client.
• Arranging the Supplier / Manufacturer for Testing and commissioning of all the equipments and systems and preparing Snag list of incomplete work for the handover process.
• Handing over the project to the authorities such as ADDC, Etisalat & Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority and the Consultant / Client.
