- Work with the Finance Manager to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel
- Ensure timely completion of external audit and coordinate with external auditors for fulfillment of all requirements and clarification
- Finalize and review payroll, Tax Calculation, revenue, cost and ensure its submission or payment on deadlines
- Ensure Effective balance sheet ledger reconciliation to control any overseen errors
- Review of VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations and ensure proper VAT reconciliation detailing the Input & Output transaction for the hotel
- Ensure that Finance teams are providing month end closing and all other required management reports
- Review documents like payments, contracts, proposals, ensuring accuracy, authenticity, demand and standard before submission for approval
- Review general ledger at month end and analyze expenses and major variations from the budget
- Prepare post and update standard journal vouchers and adjustment journal voucher entries at the month end, such as- prepaid expense, operating provisions, payroll, general stores issues, engineering store issues, reconciliation of food & beverage cost, accruals, provisions, allocation of expense, etc
- Assisting Payable, Receivable and Cost Controller as and when required
- Review supplier invoices, general ledger coding of expenses and verify supplier payments with supporting invoices, LPOs, etc
- Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods
- Specifically reviews the accounts payable balance to ensure accuracy and proposes action and follow up to be taken to ensure a clear balance with limited over 90/120-day amounts
- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statement
- Verify expense reimbursement with supporting documents and ensure that they are in accordance with the policies and procedures
- Analyze and investigate cashier's over and shorts
- Prepares monthly Financial Statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives
- Responsible for month-end closing
- Approves various city ledger transactions before posting
- Prepares asset purchase/disposal report for owners
- Approves payment requests, employee advances and petty cash prior to payment
