· Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, health & safety and distribution of equipment and supplies and maintenance of inventory.

· Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspect and stores it according to policy.

· Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.

· Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse.

· Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule.

· Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse; coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.

· Monitors expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed.

· Enforces work/operating instructions and safety policies.

· Resolves routine equipment issues.

· Observe environment, health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly conditions.

· Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures; advise of budget related needs; assist in the bid process for various supplies as required.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Joined as an “Material/Inventory Specialist” managed complete Inventory and Supply chain functions using SAP R/3 MM Module (WMS / Materials Management Software) program… Maintaining inventories with an economically acceptable optimum level, by analyzing historical usages, change in lead-time, identifying spares parts interchangeability & change in usage patterns.

· To give technical assistance for long-term contract for various standard items to reduce procurement lead time, to reduce inventory value and waiting time for maintenance.

· Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with purchasing team.

· Reducing inventory levels with high-level customer service. Reducing of non-moving inventory value.

· Confer with various plant personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.

· Computerized Inventory Control: The receipt, warehousing, issuance of materials, status report physical verification of inventory periodically reporting, financial year ending & reconciliation of physical stock with system balance.

· Preservation & Maintenance: Material & equipment in warehouse & open storage. Safe from all kinds spoilage, maintain their original quality, value during storage & are available whenever required.

· Codification: Computerized codification of bulk, equipment & consumable items.

· Liaison with Transportation: Selection of the right kind of transport service, speedy dispatch, best care of goods in transit etc. Filing claims against carriers and insurance company for loss, damage and overage. Tracing and expediting urgently needed consignment.

· Disposal of Material: Obsolete, surplus and Scrap & returnable non-used material to lot wise of similar type for easy disposal.

· Prepare exception reports of received goods for shortage/Excess, damage and overage & their endorsement of carrier document with over, short & damage condition on carrier & notify to concern in order to claim the material or insurance claim.

· Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organization
