  • Over 3 years spent as the EKFC –EXPO HR Project Lead
  • This role required direct reporting to the VP HR with a strong matrix report to the VP – Commercial
  • In this role had 2 HR senior coordinator direct reports
  • The EXPO project was a turning point for EKFC in that it proved the company’s ability to significantly diversify its revenue streams away from the airline business
  • In doing so, the company had to be more agile and flexible than ever before
  • This was especially true for HR
  • Liaising between a multitude of internal department stakeholders, VP Commercial, and the EXPO Organizational Committee department leads to ensure all EXPO deliverables were made visible, understood, and delivered in a timely manner
  • Liaising with the below HR COEs in order to ensure delivery of the below initiatives and their related sub-tasks was done in an effective and timely manner: Compensation & Benefits, Contract T&Cs, Employee queries on eligibilities/benefits, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Status reporting to major stakeholders, Mobilisation/HRSS, Explored and liaised to action unique solutions to securing headcount due to COVID 19 challenges, HRBP/ER, Employee Fleet & Logistics, Worked to ensure uniform requirements from design and procurement were met
  • Manpower budgeting with constant revision considering variable adjustments around business levels
  • Senior client management on all issues relating to HR and EXPO company employees
  • Liaised on various financial analytics pieces which held significant impact to the EXPO project (Manpower, Staff Feeding/Welfare, Senior stakeholder and CEO report data)

  • Given the responsibility of maintaining cohesiveness of the COVID-19 HR functions in the unfortunate goal of Offboaridng over 5,000 employees over a period of less than 2 month via termination and unpaid leave
  • Project tasks included working with HR COE’s around: Maintaining all COE’s deliverables against a project GANTT (HRBP, C&B, L&D, EFL mainly) as well as assisting with each as and when required
  • Maintenance of open communication between internal stakeholders and the project itself via SharePoint projects, email, verbally

  • Worked to help launch the Al Futtaim Group’s first ever venture into the Food & Beverage industry eventually handling 135 employees across head office, and the brands of TWG Restaurants, Barilla Restaurants, and Super Chix
  • Worked on the creation and introduction of a new pay scale into the group
  • Worked on the HR integration of RSH LLC into Al Futtaim LLC once purchased by the latter
  • Was involved in all staffing decisions for future restaurant openings across the GCC as well as the creation of the training calendars that they correspond to
