I was given the chance to perform history taking and relevant clinical examination on both occasion preoperative and postoperative patients. I have been given the chance to assist in circumcision, cholecystectomy, appendectomy and perianal abscess with the consent of the patient.
Obstetrics and gynaecology - November 2022
The period of my posting in this department i have enhanced my knowledge via the book and online resources. Due to customs and traditional beliefs I couldn't utilize the time spent in this department to enrich my knowledge clinically comparing my previous posting.
Paediatrics - January 2023
I performed history taking and clinical examination on various clinical settings, such as outpatient department, Neonatal intensive care unit and the paediatric ward. I was given an opportunity to participate in a case-based discussion since i have started my posting. I was privileged to counsel a mother regarding pneumococcal vaccine in the outpatient department.
Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology - March 2023
During my posting I was able to check the patients vitals and do a fundoscopic examination with the consent of the patients. I have also attended an adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy.
Internal Medicine - May 2023
I was given the chance to perform history taking and relevant clinical examination, I have also attended a colonoscopy with the gastroenterology doctor, and bronchoscopy with the respective pulmonologist. During my posting, I have attended ward rounds every morning with the respective doctors, and was privileged to present cases to the doctors and my fellow colleagues.

During my posting the doctor taught me how to take Mental Health assessment and I have observed cases such as bipolar disorder, Major depression, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and many others.Family Medicine - October 2023I performed history taking and clinical examination on most of the outpatients with their consent. Infectious diseases department was part of the family medicine department i was privileged to rotate with one of the infectious diseases doctor, which allowed myself to observe a wide variety of infectious diseases such as Tuberculosis, sexual transmitted diseases, infectious mononucleosis, and preventive medicine according endemic infectious diseases.Internal Medicine II - November 2023I was posted in different departments such as neurology, nephrology, cardiology, and dermatology. during the Neurology posting I was able to witness most of the neurology procedures, such as lumbar puncture, botulinum toxin injections for stroke patients, and trigger point injections. As per my Nephrology posting I rotated with consultants who taught various clinical knowledge regarding dialysis, chronic kidney disease, how to assess renal function based on eGFR and provided myself with an opportunity to hear abnormal findings upon auscultation such as lung crackles, crepitus of lung, Arteriovenous fistulas (cat purring sound), and abnormal abdominal sounds. I was given the chance to auscultate various patients in the cardiology department that came in with heart murmurs and i was rotated with an interventional cardiologist, which gave me the chance to attend in the Cath lab and observe procedures such as an angiogram and angioplasty. During my posting in the dermatology department i was able to oversee common skin conditions and therapeutic side of dermatology such as UV radiation therapy, cryotherapy etc.

Bahrain Defence Force Hospital, Riffa, Bahrain - (July 2023 and January 2024)As I am driven and aspiring medical student keen interest and specializing in the surgical department, I have undertaken my both electives under general surgery during my breaks as part of my curriculum. I was rotating with Dr. THAMER ABDULJABBAR ALABBASI , I have seen various cancer patients in various organs such as colon cancer, sarcoma and rectal cancer. I attended with the resident who is in the team of Dr. Thamer, which allowed me to help with wound care management, which include suturing, dressing and removal of sutures of Postoperative patients, which all was undertaken with the consent of the patients. The doctor gave me the opportunity to examine multiple patients and understand different abnormalities in examinations such as abdominal examination colon cancer patients, which was all under the consent of the patient.

Accomplishments
I have completed an original article which was part of my curriculum under the title "Prevalence and factors associated with back pain amongst health care workers in Ajman, the United Arab Emirates." which is yet to be published.
I have successfully published a case report under the title "Thyroid Troubles Unveiled: A Rare Case of Hyponatremia Secondary to Hypothyroidism" in international journal of innovative research in medical science
I am currently working on two case reports. Which are on the process to be published under internal medicine and cardiology department.
