Power System Controls Projects

Conducted technical presentations, performed demonstration of power management systems to customers, while collaborating with sales and business development team to convert several million dollars of sales leads to purchase orders.

Once purchase order is received, optimized engineering process is taken to ensure the execution of all phases of the project by managing a team across India, Middle East and Africa.

Project execution includes working closely with project management and technical team to conduct kick off meetings, maintaining project schedule, ensuring timely deliverables from technical team, performing SWOT analysis, overseeing design, overseeing and performing hands on engineering, conducting FAT, carrying out commissioning activities, and closing out project.

Following projects were developed as a technical lead from Phase 0 at opportunity stage, converted to purchase order, designed, engineered, conducted FAT, commissioned, and closed out with outstanding customer satisfaction.

  • Rouad Tasnee Plastic Plant at Saudi Arabia having 18 loads and 13 generators.
  • High Speed Load Shedding System for Chevron Sanha Lean Gas Plant having 2 loads and 3 generators.
  • High Speed Contingency Based Load Shedding System and Under frequency Based Load Shedding System for Chevron South Nemba Plant having 20 loads and 4 generators.
  • Generation Control System, Auto Synchronization, Islanding Detection and Decoupling Scheme (IDDS), and High Speed Load Shedding System for Khafji Joint Operations Facility at Saudi Arabia having 82 loads, 4 generators and 2 utility connection.
  • Shunt Reactor Control at Saudi ARAMCO Offshore Facility to compensate for the high capacitance developed by the long submarine cable lines.
  • PV Plant Controller for a 75 MW PV Power Plant at South Africa having 116 plant assets (PV and VAR inverters) to comply with South Africa Gird Code (SAGC) for active and reactive power export.
  • PV Plant Controller for a 3.2 MW PV Power Plant at South Africa having 32 PV inverters to provide the plant with active and reactive power export.
  • Power Plant Controller for Grove Mall in South Africa having 10 PV inverters, 20 BESS Inverters, and 2 Diesel Generators to achieve zero import from grid, peak shaving, and energy arbitrage.
  • Remedial Action Scheme for the country of Qatar to protect the Interconnection lines to the country from thermal burden and to prevent out of step operation due to any generation loss within Qatar Power System.
