Roles And Responsibilities
- Patientʼs assessment and history taking.
- Oxygen, bronchodilator therapy and bronchial hygiene therapy.
- Mechanical ventilation Calibration, Initiation of mechanical ventilation in adultʼs, neonates and Pediatrics and making necessary ventilatory changes according to the conditions, trouble shooting, weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Arterial blood gas: sampling, Interpretation and treatment planning
- Chest X-ray and ECG interpretation.
- Part of following ICU procedures such as endotracheal intubation, extubating, suctioning, assisting ICD tube insertion, pleural tapping, assisting tracheostomy procedure & tracheostomy care
- Assisting Bronchoscopy for collection of BAL.
- Pulmonary function testing: testing and interpretation of results.
- Principles and use of the pulse oximeter, capnometer, oxygen analyzer, defibrillator, ABG machine, various portable ventilators, glide scope machine, bronchoscopy machine and HFNC machines.
