• Raw Material Management: Overseeing the procurement and storage of raw materials like logs and ensuring efficient use of these resources.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that machinery and equipment are maintained regularly to avoid breakdowns and ensure efficient operation.

• Supervision: Managing and supervising sawmill workers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Labor Relations: Handling employee relations, addressing grievances, and ensuring a positive work environment.

• Material Handling: Receive incoming materials and supplies, verifying the quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and categorization for easy retrieval.
  
• Issuance of Materials: Assist in issuing materials to construction teams based on approved requisitions, ensuring accurate recording of quantities and recipients.
  Maintain records of materials issued, returned, or transferred between sites, updating inventory systems as necessary.
  
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, and transfers of materials.
  Assist in generating reports on inventory levels, material usage, and stock movements for review by the Storekeeper and management.
  
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all materials are stored safely and securely, adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
  Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, minimizing risks of accidents and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  
• Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  Communicate effectively with construction teams to understand their material needs and ensure prompt service.
  
• Support and Training: Provide support to the Storekeeper in training new staff or temporary workers in store procedures and inventory management practices.
  Assist in resolving any issues related to material shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
