KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
- Troubleshooting of Mechanical and Electrical systems,
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit
blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment,
appliances, and apparatus.
- Supervising electricians.
- Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.
- Installing wiring, outlets, and controls.
- Maintenance of electrical systems.
- Identifying electrical problems using specialized tools like
voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and ammeters
- Repairing and replacing wiring and equipment using hand and
power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wire strippers, and
conduit breakers.
- SCADA, HMI, Profi Bus, Servo drives, Variable frequency drives
(VFD), Remote I/O
- Maintenance workflow (scheduling, PM tasking, work order
creation, etc.). Maintenance on Conveyor Systems (Roller, Belt,
Gear, Pully etc.)
- Repairing and Replacing, Trouble Shooting of Heating Elements,
Temperature Controllers.
- High Level electricity skills - (AC/DC theory, relays, switches,
solenoids, fuses, breakers, Pneumatic equipment’s, Sensors etc.),
power generation and distribution (including 3 phase), electrical
safety, National Electric Code, motor theory and protection
