Roles and Responsibilities (Safety Officer)

• Implement HSE policies and procedures in accordance with guidance from the General Manager.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with staff regarding HSE standards and regulations.
• Conduct routine HSE surveillance to identify and address workplace hazards. Implement EHS work permit systems and provide training to increase awareness.
• Maintainrecordsofequipmentandcertifications,includingfireextinguishers.
• Ensure new personnel undergo safety induction and training before site access.
• Conduct weekly meetings and safety awareness sessions, evaluating their effectiveness and addressing safety requirements.
• Ensure dherence to Permit to Work(PTW) procedures and document verification on a daily basis.
• Verify employee and machinery certificates as per DEWA standards before work commences.
• Regularly inspect welding plants, machinery, and coordinate third-party inspections for mobile cranes and lifting equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Record daily and monthly accident reports, analyzing trends to determine root causes.
• Inspect personal protective equipment regularly.
• Implement and maintain a color-coding system for site tools and lifting accessories.
