Pre Opening Responsibilities:
1. Technology Planning:
• Develop an IT strategy and roadmap aligned with the hotel's pre-opening goals and operational requirements.
• Identify and evaluate technology vendors and solutions for various systems, including property management systems, network infrastructure, guest Wi-Fi, telecommunication, audiovisual equipment, security systems, and other related technologies.
• Testing and commissioning of all ELV systems
2. System Implementation:
• Coordinate the installation and setup of technology systems, collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and configuration of systems.
3. Network Infrastructure:
• Design and implement the hotel's network infrastructure [Ruckus], including wired and wireless networks, servers [HPE], routers, switches [Ruckus], firewalls [FortiGate & Cisco Merakki], and other related components.
4. User Support and Training:
• Provide technical support to hotel staff during the pre-opening phase, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on the usage of various technology systems, ensuring they are well-equipped to utilize the tools effectively.
5. Data Backup and Security:
• Implement data backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical hotel information. Develop and enforce IT security policies, including user access controls, password management, and data encryption.
6. Vendor Management:
• Coordinate with vendors for ongoing system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Conduct regular evaluations of vendor performance to ensure adherence to service standards.
