Started career as an audit associate back in 2017 and after two quick promotions and exceptional appraisals from reporting manager became an Audit Senior in early 2018 and got the chance to lead assurance engagements of numerous sectors mainly financial, service, logistics, oil and gas, media, construction, manufacturing, and trading. After getting diversified experience in native region, on the recommendation of Firm’s management was seconded to UAE region, Sharjah Office for three months and after successful time over there got recommendation to work in Dubai Office to work in fast paced and deadline driven environment. After being seconded to Dubai Office for one year, was offered in May 2022, a full-time role as Audit Senior Associate. Have been successfully fulfilling the assigned role and responsibilities for a year now, with own portfolio of clients ranging from large to medium and small-sized entities, along with managing a team of Associates and Interns plotted at client.

I’m currently working as Senior Associate in the Assurance Department of Grant Thornton UAE. My key responsibilities here include: 

- Leading teams through planning, execution, and completion stages of audit. 

- Engagement planning based on understanding of the entity and assessment of business and related audit risks through analyzing variances from prior years and market trends. 

- Coordination with the team, manager and partner, review and finalization of assurance engagements.

- Liaison with client's management and communication of relevant matters to persons at appropriate level of responsibility. 

- Consultation on significant matters with various professionals such as lawyers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts. 

- Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), local corporate laws and directives of regulatory authorities.

- Establishing positive working environment by building vigorous relationships with team members, clients and other stakeholders. 

- On-the-job training and professional development of staff by investing in collaboration, establish good communication practices, setting up feedback calls at regular intervals, promote balance instead of burnout and establish group norms.
