Scope: Dubai Media Incorporated is one of the largest Government media organization in UAE having associations with TV (Dubai TV/Dubai One/Sama Dubai/Dubai Sports/Dubai Racing), Radio (Noor Dubai/Dubai Radio), Newspaper (Al Bayan/Emarat al Youm/Emirates 24/7), Printing (Masar) and Distribution (Tawseel)

• Responsible for the management and oversight of critical Infrastructure and Business Systems, including Servers (On-Prem and AWS/VMware Cloud), Storage, VMware, Backup, NAS Filers, Databases, and Windows and Linux Servers.These systems are distributed across four geographically distinct Data Centers, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance
• In charge of the complete lifecycle management of VMware and EC2 infrastructure, encompassing the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust environment.This includes overseeing 80 hosts and over 500 virtual machines distributed across UCS, VxRail, VMware Cloud, and AWS platforms
• Played a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and migrating infrastructure solutions using VMware HCX, Cisco UCS, DellEMC VBlock/VxRail, Hitachi SAN/NAS, and DellEMC PowerScale technologies
• Taking charge of managing key business-critical applications, implemented a robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) solution for the corporate/business environment.This involved tasks such as software/system installation, configuration, replication, and backup/restore to ensure seamless operations in the event of a failure
• Leading all SAN/NAS storage operations, including capacity planning, data migration, provisioning, and management
• Responsible for database-related activities across Oracle, MSSQL, SAP HANA DB and MySQL servers, as well as performing data migrations during technology refresh cycles
• Administering migrations of programs, database changes, reference data changes, through the development life cycle along with Troubleshooting, Installation, Patching, Maintenance, Migration, Upgradation, Performance Tuning and System Administration
• Collaborated with the IT Support team to successfully implement IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, ensuring that all user incidents and requests were accurately logged and promptly resolved
• Oversee Data Center Operations, including tasks such as rack and stack of hardware, power and network cabling.Coordinating closely with the Electrical and Facilities Department to ensure optimal cooling and uptime for all infrastructure equipment
• Providing technical leadership on IT systems and solutions and individual mentoring and training on systems
• Dealing/Negotiating with Software/Hardware Vendors for Licenses and AMC Renewals
• Documenting all infrastructure systems and following change management procedures and liaising with hardware and software vendors for troubleshooting & upgrades

• Participating in the development and maintenance of strategic, architectural, and tactical plans for the database and data warehouse environments; conversant with, and cognizant of, the future direction of systems, how that directly impacts the company, and how future and current database systems can be exploited for the company's benefit
• Performed data extractions, and ensured data integrity, wrote & maintained SQL scripts to generate database reports, monitor database usage, and security, led user administration, performance tuning & database maintenance
• Performing data migration across storages during technology refresh, database-related activities for Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL server
• Implementing a business continuity solution for the database environment, including the installation & configuration of database software and replication processes
• Backend support of Editorial & Archive application servers which includes troubleshooting, applying patches and upgrades

• Handled UNIX (Linux, Sun Solaris SPARC, SUSE) and Database Systems (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL) for troubleshooting, installation, patching, maintenance, migration, upgrade, performance tuning, and system administration.
• Conducting Oracle Database Cloning from Production to Test and Dev instances while automating the process with scripts
• Maintain Linux server for Media Content and ensure server integrity. Proactive monitoring and scripting of daily tasks to ensure the smooth running of complete infrastructure
• Wrote and maintained technical and functional specifications to document database intentions and requirements.
• Keeping up to date with the Technology innovations and looking for ways to adopt them in the organization with minimal cost and downtime

Scope: The client's (Dubai Immigration) Data Centre is one of the most critical in UAE, based on the 24X7 setup and linked to all airports, seaports and other entry / exit points.

• Designed & implemented Oracle database backup/recovery and setup security & storage management strategies.
• Led team building and certification projects impacting database platform to deliver and implement a reliable solution to support or enhance infrastructure
• Executed migration of Oracle Databases 9.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4 and built & implemented RAC architecture on AIX (GPFS)
• Administered all aspects of database development, implementation and monitored standards and procedures for all database platforms to ensure optimum performance
• Designed & implemented 10gAS based N-tier architecture, maintenance, tuning of Oracle 10gAS infrastructure including OID, SSO, and Portal
• Utilized customized tools for checking system activity & performance and implemented backup strategy for databases according to the business availability of each database
