Dynamic FS1 Teacher with a proven track record at Emirates British Nursery, skilled in lesson planning and relationship building. Expert in fostering a supportive learning environment, I successfully enhanced children's development through tailored educational activities. My empathetic approach and strong classroom management have consistently led to positive outcomes for students and their families. I am a self-motivated individual, who works very well in a team as I am helpful and can be relied on with any task given. I have a passion of working with young children.
My job at the nursery is an FS1 Class Teacher to 18 children. My role is to create lesson plans according to each individual child’s needs following the EYFS, making every day a fun way for children to learn through play. I have developed strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues by maintaining open lines of communication and fostering a supportive learning environment. I assess children’s learning and development by making observations and reports, planning activities to help support children in their learning areas. I attend regular staff meetings to learn more and to participate in giving ideas to ensure our children have the best chances and abilities to strive. I would have regular meetings with parents to discuss their child’s progress and work together to ensure the correct support and help is provided for their child/ren. I ensure the environment is a safe place for play and children are happy and confident to be in class.
My duties were to set up activities before every session would start, based on the EYFS, observe children through their play, and create next steps for the children. I would complete transition forms, baselining and a learning journal of the children’s wow moments, and pictures of their play. Risk assessments would be carried out indoors and outdoors, and meetings with parents to discuss and talk about their child’s learning progress. We would have weekly staff meetings where I would confidently speak up to discuss new ideas for the following week.
I would assist and support staff at the settings. I would be involved in setting out the activities in the planning and supervise children through play. I had a long term position at 'Kitts Green Day Nursery' term time only for over a year, amongst Birmingham city council staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment. I was able to complete learning journals and file information into children's personal files, arrange home visits and attend meetings regarding children e.g (CIN). My job role also included baselining, tracking children's development, observations, assessments and creating next steps for each individual child.
Leading a pre-school classroom. The duties are to ensure planning and all paper work are completed, including risk assessments and children's learning journals. As part of my role, I would support other staff with their work and give students the help needed. I am also a key worker to five children in which I support the learning and development for each child.
Aassist and support staff to provide a safe and happy environment for children to play in. To supervise and observe general play activities inside and out, ensuring safety. I was a key worker to 3 children where I would complete progress records and meet the children's individual needs. Also I have been involved in organising daily plans, music, sports, art and crafts activities and preparing snacks for children between the ages of 6 months to 5 years. During my time at St.Pauls I completed an NVQ level 3 in childcare.
