Design Lead, Senior Architect, and BIM Specialist with over 11 years of international experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across the Middle East and international markets. Currently serving as Design Lead at SIM Leisure Gulf Contracting, I oversee the design management, technical leadership, and multidisciplinary coordination of complex themed entertainment destinations, immersive attractions, experiential environments, specialty fit-out projects, and bespoke architectural installations. My role extends far beyond conventional architectural responsibilities, encompassing strategic planning, design governance, technical oversight, stakeholder engagement, and project execution.

I lead the entire design development process by establishing project design strategies, preparing execution roadmaps, coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, reviewing technical deliverables, monitoring design progress, and ensuring that every package aligns with project objectives, client expectations, contractual requirements, and construction constraints. I facilitate coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, audiovisual, show systems, ride systems, specialty fabricators, and themed environment consultants to ensure fully integrated and coordinated design solutions.

My responsibilities include leading design workshops, coordinating interdisciplinary reviews, conducting value engineering exercises, evaluating alternative technical solutions, optimizing materials and construction methods, performing constructability assessments, reviewing fabrication methodologies, resolving complex site and design conflicts, and maintaining design integrity throughout procurement and construction. I oversee the preparation, review, and issuance of architectural drawings, technical specifications, material schedules, shop drawings, mock-ups, RFIs, design reports, coordination models, and construction documentation while ensuring compliance with applicable international standards, local authority regulations, contractual obligations, and project quality management systems.

A significant aspect of my work involves close collaboration with clients, developers, contractors, consultants, specialist suppliers, manufacturers, and government authorities. I regularly participate in executive design reviews, client presentations, technical coordination meetings, design risk assessments, procurement evaluations, factory inspections, and construction progress reviews to ensure that project objectives are achieved efficiently and successfully. Prior to my current position, I held progressively senior leadership roles including Design Lead, Architectural Team Leader, Senior Architect, and BIM Specialist with internationally recognized organizations such as James Cubitt & Partners MENA and Engineer Adnan Saffarini Office (EAS). During these roles, I contributed to the successful delivery of numerous large-scale developments throughout the UAE and wider MENA region, leading multidisciplinary design teams on projects of varying complexity and scale.

These positions provided extensive experience in architectural design leadership, project planning, BIM implementation, authority approvals, sustainable design integration, consultant management, construction documentation, and technical coordination. I have worked closely with government authorities, municipalities, developers, contractors, and international consultants to navigate regulatory approvals, resolve technical challenges, and maintain project compliance while preserving design intent.

My technical expertise extends well beyond architectural design and includes Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy, BIM execution planning, digital project delivery, ISO 19650-compliant information management, Common Data Environment (CDE) implementation, Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), Building Execution Plans (BEP), BIM standards development, model auditing, clash detection, design coordination, digital quality assurance, and BIM governance across multidisciplinary teams.

I possess advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM Collaborate Pro, Dynamo, DiRoots, AutoCAD, and other digital design and coordination platforms. I utilize these technologies to automate workflows, improve model quality, enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, reduce project risks, increase design efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
