Summary

An accomplished IT professional with over 14 years of rich and diverse multi- functional experience in the areas of IT and Hospitality. I have developed exclusive capabilities in the areas of project planning, management, delivery, IT operations and IT support functions in Luxury 5 star Hotel brands.

Currently, in the capacity of Head of IT for three 5 star luxury brands under Accor. Implementing latest technology to stay in business has been my passion and key focus.

Being the function expert of New Developments and company’s representative to all relevant stakeholders’ has provided me immense experience in managing the openings of new Hotels including the planning and implementation of IT infrastructure, brand standards and IT operational functions.

  • Performed Firewall Migration from Watchguard to Forcepoint.
  • Successfully carried out Cloud SAS projects such as Simphony POS, Opera PMS, Ametist Financials, Oasys HR and Payroll system, SharePoint File Server & SpaSoft
  • Redesigned Data Center environment to much more productive and cost-efficient Virtualization Server environment.
  • Aligned the Corporate IT team, Hotels General Managers & Hotel Owning companies and relevant stakeholders on on-going and forecasted projects for a better planned, budgeted project execution.

  • Responsible of IT for all new hotel openings under Jumeirah Group in UAE and worldwide

(Eg: London - Shoreditch, China - Guangzhou, Indonesia - Bali, Bahrain - Royal Saray, UAE - Marsa Al Seef, Saadiyat Island, Bluewaters, Oman - Muscat Bay)

  • Liaison manager between all stakeholders - owners (if managed property), Jumeirah corporate management, project managers, IT consultants and MEP contractors as Hotel representative on IT infrastructure and ELV installations.
  • Carried out feasibility studies for all systems required for Hotel openings.
  • In charge of IT guidelines which stipulates Jumeirah’s requirements for a new opening Hotel. (Eg: Network requirements, Server room, Guest room etc..)
  • Owner of IT Brand Standards ensuring a uniformity of IT brands are applied across all Jumeirah properties including In-room technology.

(Eg: HiTV, Guest telephones, PABX, WiFi, GRMS, Access Control)

  • Created project plans for each Hotel opening and submitted to all stake holders presenting the critical path on IT to ensure readiness for opening.
  • Assist the IT Manager on the pre-opening site in applying IT policies, procedures and standards.
