Work History

Asst researcher

Center for catalysis and separation (Khalifa University)
2021.07 - Current
  • Natural gas to H2 and high value carbon as an environmentally friendly and economically approach and Material synthesis for hydrogen storage project in CECAS, Khalifa university
  • For Hydrogen storage work we developed Dendritic fibrous nanosilica (DFNS), also known as KCC-1 from sand, has a unique fibrous morphology and a high surface area with improved accessibility to the internal surface, tunable pore size and volume, controllable particle size, which made it useful in the fields of energy storage
  • Collected data through reactors and process analysing areas for opportunities and product development
  • Ensured systems worked efficiently, effectively and safely by testing and evaluating equipment.

Project research associate

UAEU gas research Laborotary
2020.05 - 2021.07
  • Catalytic Partial Oxidation of Methane (CPOM): Development of new catalyst, Laborotary analysis, Characterization of catalyst, Setting of lab scale pilot design etc
  • Handling higher analytical instruments like XRF, XRD, TEM,SEM etc
  • Designed and made presentations summarising research findings at national and international conferences
  • Monitored research activities to complete projects within stipulated timeframes and budget constraints.

Chemical engineer

Waste tire pyrolysis plant consultant firm
2017.03 - 2020.04
  • Pyrolysis most economic and eco-friendly to handle black pollution scrap tires
  • After pyrolysis we generally get tire oil, steel wire and carbon black
  • Tire oil can be used as an industry oil or produce diesel after further distillation, while steel wire can be sold directly or send to steel industry and recovered carbon black also used in industrial raw material
  • Performed process engineering calculations and developed technical reports to support business objectives
  • Planned and implemented layout of manufacturing equipment to optimise production and decrease costs.

Research lab engineer

The Petroleum Institute (ADNOC)
2015.11 - 2017.02
  • The above joint research project by TRC-PI was approved by the ADNOC and PI The Takreer Refinery has the seawater cooling loop and fresh water cooling loop systems Over the years, the bio-fouling became increasingly more serious and the bacteria became more resistant to the chemical/biocide additives
  • In addition to the high cost of conventional treatment methods, governmental regulations also prevent the high dosage of such chemicals in the cooling water system
  • Therefore, there is an urgent need to improve the cooling water quality while eliminating or reducing the use of chemicals to alleviate the environmental burdens and pollution
  • Tested different theories, materials and machines to determine most effective and efficient solutions
  • Used environmentally friendly materials to design and protect surfaces of workpieces.

Pilot plant engineer

UAEU-JCCP-Takreer (ADNOC)
2012.07 - 2015.10
  • This project is a collaborative research effort between the UAE University, Japan cooperation center petroleum/JX-Nippon Research Institute and TAKREER to evaluate the current wastewater treatment process at ruwais refinery and to develop a more efficient and effective process for the treatment of the wastewater generated by the refinery
  • Detailed design of a pilot plant consisting of the most efficient integrated treatment arrangement has been carried out based on the experimental results
  • Trained staff, contractors and vendors on safety procedures and checked activities to verify adherence to training objectives
  • Applied scientific rules and methods in solving complex problems, using expertise to generate and implement solutions.
