· Assessing and coordinating with physicians to provide a multi-
disciplinary plan of care for patients
· Manages sedation, paralytics, insulin drips, and vasopressor therapy
· Administers blood products and intravenous medications and observing for any adverse effects
· Manages continuous renal replacement therapy
· Perform a broad scope of clinical procedures utilizing various invasive/non-invasive monitoring equipment including: ventilators, arterial and central lines, and EKG monitoring.
Ø Coordinates educational activities and uses appropriate resources to develop and implement an individualised teaching and discharge plan with clients and their families.
Ø Reinforces the teaching done by specialists in rehabilitation and other healthcare disciplines, provides resource materials for patients' changing needs, and provides on‑going patient education after discharge.
Ø Coordinates care activities in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to facilitate achievement of overall goals.
Ø Establish effective working relationship with members of the health care team, patients and families
Ø Performs assessment/Data collection in an on‑going systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status.
Ø Performs patient carte within the principles of Team nursing, reporting pertinent observations or complaints to the team leader and/or head nurse
Ø Provides Leadership in the interpretation and application of the philosophy and objective of nursing service in assigned area
