I'm a talented & career oriented individual working in drilling function for over 12 years both engineering and operations out of which 5 years in a leadership / management position. I have gained a fair level of experience on the overall oil & gas value chain by participating as a member in multiple strategic project management offices that deals at a group company level topics. As well as I have been selected to participate in the ANOC Future Leaders (AFL) program which aims to develop a whole rounded leader able to lead an organization at a senior level. I have worked with multicultural and diverse teams which has strengthened my leadership & management skills.
Carried out the role of superintendent, responsible for 6 rigs with 24 drilling supervisors and 3 trainees. Facilitated effective decision-making processes within the group through open dialogue, active listening, and consensus-building techniques. Carried out my assignment successfully, maximizing efficiency, delivering mandates with no LTI (lost time injury) through a logical decision making process.
Lead a high caliber, multicultural & diverse team of drilling engineers assigned to design and execute world class extended reach complex wells. I was involved in the period where the team worked extensively to incorporate technologies to assist in the safety aspect of drilling crew plus increase in the performance output & capabilities of the drilling rig which contributed to cost reduction.
First leadership position where I worked with a team to identify areas of improvement and devised solutions based on current inefficiencies. Devised and implemented processes and procedures to streamline revamped operations. I was involved in 1- typical workover operations of aged wells, 2- plug & abandon retired wells adhering with Code of Practice set by international standards 3- intervening plus carry out plug & abandon free standing wells that was extremely complex and dealing with many unknown parameters and 4- committees that dealt with many unique cases that was out of the norm for the team.
Successfully completed a comprehensive development program that included both office work and a field work as a drilling supervisor both in a jackup & lad rigs (1 year each). Successfully completed 1- Exxon Mobil drilling engineering program, 2- Total's drilling engineering program provided by IFP school, 3- SHELL round 1 package. Worked part of a team lead by Exxon Mobil responsible for planning, designing and providing technical support during rig operations of extended reach wells drilled in Upper Zakkum field. Gained a lot of technical experience in well design, budget development & cost tracking, sensitivity analysis for technical parameters, and decision tree formulation for operations optimization.
I was involved in a team made up of 25 members to evaluate current housing construction practices in Ottawa with the main objective to enhance housing design to minimize energy consumption. My role was to lead the zonal isolation streamline with the support of 5 members and ensure to integrate this aspect with the other 4 aspects of the project with the other stream leads.
