• Having sound knowledge of preparing ITP, QUALITY CONTROL PLAN AND PROCEDURE, WPS, PQR, HYDROTEST PACKAGE, and REINSTAMENT and MECHANICAL DOSSIERS.
• Having sound knowledge of material receiving inspection. Ensuring all materials, including pipes, fittings, and welding consumables, meet project specifications and standards.
• Maintaining and reviewing a traceability system for all materials used, ensuring that proper documentation accompanies each piece from receipt through installation.
• Inspecting base materials and welding consumables before welding to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Verifying and witnessing that welding procedures (WPS and PQR) are approved and correctly implemented.
• Ensuring all welders are properly qualified and certified for the welding processes they perform.
• Check the alignment, fit-up, and cleanliness of joints before welding begins.
• Oversee welding activities to ensure they adhere to approved procedures and standards.
• Conducting visual inspections of completed welds to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercut.
• Coordinate and witness NDT activities, including radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
• Review and interpret NDT results to ensure weld quality and compliance with standards.
• Ensure that pipes, fittings, and assemblies meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Check the alignment of piping systems to ensure proper installation and support.
• Maintain detailed records of all inspections, including photographs, measurements, and NDT reports.
• Preparing and reviewing and document non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Compile and review quality documentation, including ITPs, QCPs, and test packages for final handover.
• Testing and Evaluation:
• Witnessing and inspect hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests to ensure system integrity.
• Ensure all piping and welding activities comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, API).
• Pressure Testing: Oversee or conduct pressure tests on piping systems to ensure they meet pressure requirements and are free from leaks.
• Functional Testing: Verify that the piping systems function correctly and meet operational requirements.
