Leading Islamic department (16 teachers with 4000 students in Islamic across the whole key stages) in developing and improving teaching and learning; DSIB is good in progress and attainment. AY 2022/2023 AY 2023/2024. Overall school is very good now.

Understanding of Islamic values and awareness of Emirati and world cultures rated very good in DSIB AY 2023/2024.

Responsibilities

1. The Curriculum: Departmental curriculum policies, planning, analysis, and development of good quality SOW.

2. Management and Administration

Line management, monitoring, and support of staff within the Department. Preparation and update of the Departmental Handbook/DIP (Departmental Improvement Plan). Encourage Department staff to produce stimulating displays, using the work produced by students when appropriate.

3. Staff Development

Leading, monitoring, reviewing, and identifying staff needs and development within the department. Involvement in the appraisal, including target setting and providing development feedback from lesson observation.

4. SEF Judgement

Supporting SLT by giving accurate judgment in DSIB.

• Using effective strategies in teaching and learning based on the UAE framework DSIB.
• Delivering the best practices in teaching and learning, linking to six Islamic fields.
• Improving students's skills in Quran recitation and memorisation and its science.
