I worked as a volunteer triage nurse at the hospital as i was awaiting for both a job opportunity and my final examination results and below were some of my roles
Taking, recording, monitoring and communicating vital signs
Performing assessments on incoming patients to evaluate their symptoms so they can be triaged appropriately
Answering and reporting emergency calls
Give first aid, CPR, and other medical care as needed
Perform wound care
Report cases of abuse or neglect to the senior supervisors
Manage and communicate with patients and relatives in the waiting areas
Transport/escort patients to the appropriate treatment areas for example for the laboratory, radiography rooms, theatre or to the wards
