The job holder is responsible for the management of Emirates Airport Services Operational Resources in terms of Demand Planning, leave and training planning, and/or Roster creation for optimal utilization of resources and/or to provide a dynamic and efficient allocation of key resources (manpower, equipment and facilities) to ensure right resources are deployed at the right time and right location on the day of operation.
Generic Accountabilities:
- Improve operational efficiency and productivity by utilising specialised knowledge, Decision Support Systems and other IT system to ensure an efficient resource management plan is created, communicated and executed;
- Monitor the effectiveness of the plan to ensure suitability of resource solutions (rosters, Day of Ops) making adjustments where necessary and provide feedback & recommendations regarding rosters and resource engagement standards to the relevant resource planning team
Roster & Leave Planning:
- Prepare the Annual Leave bidding sessions and update system parameters Execute Leave allocation optimiser run on time and review output Ensure leave utilisation is maximised to avoid forfeiture while maintaining operational coverage of key resources and skills as per departmental guidelines Support in timely evaluation and decision on Adhoc leave requests post roster with support of Leave and Resource Management systems keeping operational coverage into consideration
- Produce and evaluate monthly and weekly Resource Planning scenarios to update workload demand profiles using Resource Management system based on latest flight schedule, Passenger loads, engagement standards, shift Functions and qualifications to produce update shift plans Perform ?what if? scenarios on regular basis to assess impact of operational changes on the resources (ie addition or reduction of services, new technologies etc)
- Produce and maintain optimised, efficient and economic rosters for EKAS in using Employee Scheduling system by reviewing and validating Demand vs Supply of resources for every critical function (training and over time plans) Ensure staff qualifications remains current and identify gaps to business requirements Proactively identify oppourtunities or needs for more training, cross-utilisation, staff Rotation based on these Ensure Training nomination for critical skills is completed
Resource Allocation ? ?Day of Ops?:
- Perform following three key ?Day of Ops? Activities: Pre-planning (24-48 hrs), Next shift planning (12-24 hrs) and Real-time deployment (Current shift) Responsibility is to assess resourcing gaps before and during shift of actual vs planned resource levels (manpower, equipment and facilities) and review the allocation to identify gaps and cross-utilisation requirement Plan and secure required resources (OT, TOIL, cross-utilisation) as required due to unforeseen circumstances (ie Disruption, delays, misconnections, sickness, absence, etc) Actively monitor the effectiveness of task allocation at current time Adjust immediate task changes and communicate with relevant stakeholders
- Provide 24 hour telephone support to staff requesting emergency leave, urgent shift replacements or reporting sick for duty Offer guidance to staff on sickness process Responsible to update ?Day of Ops? systems of all the known attendance exceptions (OT, Sickness, Absence, EML, Baby Care etc)
Attendance Management:
- Generate data and analyse trends of individual attendance and provide Line Managers/Duty Controllers with analysis and suggested course of action Share Reports on agreed Attendance KPIs for each of the EKAS Operating Units
- Contact absent staff to understand reasons for absence Conduct investigations utilising staff travel systems, ALTAR system, leave system etc identifying potential abuse of company procedures and benefits Highlight potential cases to Line Managers/Duty Controllers for action and support
