Proposal Management

Optimal Energy Management Control for NEC Building

Objective : Optimizing Energy Usage, Minimizing Electricity and Fuel Cost

• The softwares used in this project are MATLAB/Simulink and EnergyPlus
• The NEC building in Japan was taken as the test building and modelled using EnergyPlus to obtain the Total Energy Demand
• An Optimal Energy Management Control Strategy is developed in MATLAB to control and supervise the operations of Solar/Grid/Battery and Diesel Power Generation Systems.
• The Control simulation showed that the developed strategy reduces the operational hours of the Grid and DG thereby reducing the running cost of the hybrid energy system.
